Transportation

The best way to get around in this part of Oshawa is usually a car. It is very easy to park, and nearby highways, such as Highway 401, are especially easy to reach from anywhere in this area. However, the transit infrastructure in Stevenson is somewhat poor. Thankfully, there is the Durham College Oshawa on the Lakeshore East. The neighbourhood is served by around 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most homes. Although certain bike-friendly sectors can be found, this part of Oshawa is not especially suited for bicycling because the cycling infrastructure is not very well-developed, and there are a good number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave. There are also relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of Stevenson, despite the fact that running common errands is convenient without a car.
