The neighbourhood of Northwest Oakville is part of the town of Oakville, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent transportation option in Northwest Oakville. Parking is quite easy, and the majority of the street network is appropriate for driving. However, the public transit system in Northwest Oakville is not very accessible. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most homes. Walking is not very practical for home buyers in this area since very few daily needs can be met on foot. The bicycle is a fairly poor mode of transportation in Northwest Oakville because cyclists encounter a significant amount of elevation changes, and the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive.

Services

A fraction of property owners in this part of the town may be able to purchase groceries by walking, while others will need another means of transportation. There are a few options for those who value restaurants in close proximity. With regards to education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of the town. Likewise, it can be very difficult to access daycares as a pedestrian.

Character

There is a broad selection of green spaces in Northwest Oakville. Many locations within the neighbourhood have fairly good access to green spaces, including Palermo Park and Lion'S Valley Park, since there are a few of them close by for residents to explore and getting to a park is occasionally difficult from a lot of homes for sale. Finally, this part of the town is relatively serene, as there are very few people out and about on the streets.

Housing

In Northwest Oakville, roughly two thirds of dwellings are single detached homes, and the remaining homes are mainly townhouses. This area is especially good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes. About three quarters of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and one quarter are renters. This part of Oakville experienced its biggest construction boom following the year 2000, so most of the available properties are from this time period.
