The neighbourhood of Dixie is part of the city of Mississauga, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

This part of Mississauga will draw house buyers that appreciate several means of transportation. With Dixie Station on the Milton Line, and a few nearby bus lines, the public transit service in this part of the city is fairly good. This part of the city will also draw physically active house buyers since it is conducive to walking; carrying out daily needs is convenient by walking, and many businesses are reasonably close by. Cycling is occasionally difficult in Dixie as riding is made difficult by the typically steep topography, and there are a limited number of bike lanes.

Services

It is very often practical for property owners in Dixie to buy general and specialty groceries by walking. Furthermore, this part of Mississauga is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat or go to a cafe. It is also a rather short walk to a good variety of clothing stores. Regarding education, daycares and primary schools are convenient to access on foot from most properties for sale in Dixie. Lastly, this area is relatively quiet, thanks to the presence of few pedestrians, although there can be more noise for those who are around the railway line.

This neighbourhood has a good selection of housing size options, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. The population residing in this area is evenly split between owners and renters.
