Airport

Airport is a neighbourhood within Mississauga, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

The public transit network in Airport is practical as a result of a multitude of rapid transit stations on the Meadowvale Express, and about 20 nearby bus lines. Airport is not very well-suited for those who travel by foot since meeting day-to-day needs is occasionally difficult. The bicycle is a sometimes poor method of transportation in this neighbourhood because riding is rendered strenuous by the typically sloping topography, and the bicycling infrastructure is not especially well-developed. Nevertheless, some bicycling-friendly sectors exist. In contrast, commuting by car is very easy in Airport. Many homes for sale are a short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 409, and it is very convenient to find a parking spot.

Services

It can be difficult to get to high schools and primary schools on foot from properties for sale in Airport. In addition, daycares are not particularly plentiful and thus not always within walking distance. With respect to eating, reaching the closest supermarket on foot is feasible for some, but not all, house buyers in Airport. A small selection of restaurants and cafes can be found.

Character

Airport offers an extensive selection of green spaces to enjoy. To be more precise, there are approximately 10 public green spaces nearby for residents to unwind in, including Red Oak Plain and Not Yet Named *(East of Creebank Rd Between Eglington and 401), which results in them being easy to access from the majority of locations within this part of the city. At the same time, few tree-lined streets are present. Finally, noise can sometimes be an issue in this area, as traffic can occasionally be loud during busier hours of the day.

Housing

In Airport, roughly half of buildings are large apartment buildings, while single detached homes are also present in the housing stock. This neighbourhood has a good variety of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. About 60% of the population of this neighbourhood rent their home and owners make up the remainder. About 45% of homes in this part of Mississauga were built between 1960 and 1980, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s.
