Centennial Park

Situated within the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Centennial Park is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario.

Transportation

Owing to a few nearby bus lines, Centennial Park is a fairly convenient part of Toronto for moving around by public transit. Although certain enjoyable sectors for bicycling exist, commuting by bicycle is at times difficult in this neighbourhood since there are a limited number of bike lanes, and the terrain is not especially flat. There are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this part of Toronto, even though many day-to-day needs are easy to carry out on foot. On the other hand, moving around by car is very convenient in Centennial Park. It is easy to park, and many homes for sale are a short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 427.

Services

A grocery store is ordinarily accessible within a rather short walk from most properties for sale in Centennial Park. A small number of restaurants and coffee shops are available as well. As far as education is concerned, daycares and schools are easy to reach on foot from anywhere in Centennial Park.

Character

The character of Centennial Park is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. This neighbourhood is quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case around Highway 427. Lastly, there is a good amount of greenery in this part of Toronto; there are approximately 10 parks close by for residents to unwind in, including Centennial Park and Broadacres Park, which makes it very easy to reach them. In addition, residents will find that a large number of streets have fairly good tree coverage.

Housing

Roughly half of dwellings are large apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in Centennial Park, whereas the rest are mainly single detached homes and townhouses. This neighbourhood experienced its largest building boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available properties are from this time period. This part of the city offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy about three quarters of the units in the neighbourhood while the remainder are rented.
