Trussler

Trussler is a neighbourhood within Kitchener, Ontario, which is situated in the Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo metropolitan area.

Transportation

Trussler is an extraordinarily good part of Kitchener for getting around by car. It is especially convenient to park. On the other hand, commuting by transit can be very difficult in this area due to the infrequent service. Getting around as a pedestrian is not very practical for residents in this neighbourhood as running daily errands is inconvenient without a car. The bike is a somewhat poor means of transportation in this neighbourhood since the topography is not particularly flat, and the cycling network is not very well-developed.

Services

Trussler does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Furthermore, daycares are not very abundant and therefore may require an extended trip to get to. With regards to eating, property owners in Trussler almost always have to rely on a vehicle to access the nearest supermarket.

Character

Trussler is a good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. This part of Kitchener is fairly good for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Lastly, although Trussler is not home to any parks, green spaces are very well-distributed in nearby neighbourhoods, which makes it easy to reach them.

Housing

Roughly three quarters of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and the remainder are rented. Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing about half of dwellings in this neighbourhood, while small apartment buildings are the main alternative in the housing stock. This part of the city experienced its biggest construction boom following the year 2000, so most of the available homes are from this era. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
