Situated in the Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo metropolitan area, Country Hills is a neighbourhood within Kitchener, Ontario.

Transportation

This part of Kitchener will attract active people since it is reasonably well-suited for walking; meeting daily needs is easy on foot. This area is also cycling-friendly as there are a good number of bike lanes. This area is not an especially convenient part of Kitchener for travelling by public transit. Thankfully, homeowners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most residences. In contrast, the preferred method to navigate Country Hills is usually a car. Many properties for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, and it is easy to come across a parking spot.

Services

It is easy to reach the closest supermarket by walking from most homes for sale in this area. Residents of this part of the city are served by a few restaurants as well. When it comes to education, it is a short walk to access primary schools from anywhere in Country Hills. However, this area does not have any high schools.

Character

Country Hills is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. This part of Kitchener is wonderful for those who need quiet areas, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Lastly, parks are very well-situated and there are a few of them nearby for residents to discover, making them very easy to get to from a large number of locations in Country Hills.

Housing

In Country Hills, about 40% of buildings are single detached homes, while large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. This part of the city offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes. The proportions of renters and homeowners are about even. About half of properties in this neighbourhood were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 1990s.
