The former municipality of Old Hamilton can be found in the city of Hamilton, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Regardless of the mode of transportation, it is reasonably straightforward to get around in this area. The transit system in Old Hamilton is convenient. More specifically, homeowners benefit from the West Harbour and Hamilton Go Centre on the Lakeshore West. There are around 40 bus lines passing through the former municipality, and bus stops are generally very close by. It is also convenient for pedestrians to move around in this area; most daily needs are convenient to carry out without a vehicle, and plenty of businesses are reasonably close at hand. The bicycle is a reasonably good means of transportation in Old Hamilton.

Services

Schools and daycares are convenient to get to without needing a vehicle from most homes for sale in this part of the city. Parents can choose between public and private schools at both the elementary and high school level. When it comes to food, a grocery store is ordinarily accessible within a short distance from any location in this former municipality. Additionally, a restaurant is often just around the corner, for example on James Street, and house buyers can enjoy over 50 cafes as well.

Character

People who prefer a relaxed environment will enjoy Old Hamilton. The majority of locations within the former municipality have fairly good access to parks, like Bow Valley Open Space and Sam Manson Park, since there are over 250 of them close by for residents to relax in and a lot of houses have a park around the corner. This area is also quiet, as the streets are peaceful - however some parts can be quite noisy, especially close to one of the railway lines, the airport (Hamilton (General Hospital) Heliport), Highway 403 or Lincoln M Alexander Parkway.
