West Humber

The neighbourhood of West Humber is part of the city of Toronto, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

The public transit service in West Humber is reasonably good. There is the Etobicoke North with access to the Kitchener. There are around 20 bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. Despite the fact that biking is better in certain pockets than others, travelling by bicycle is difficult in West Humber as the bicycling infrastructure is rather limited, and there are a good number of slopes. Walking is not very popular in this part of the city, although many daily errands can be run without having to resort to a vehicle. However, driving is usually the favoured method to move around in West Humber. The street layout is quite conducive to cars, and it is very convenient to park.

Services

A fraction of house buyers in West Humber may be able to access the closest supermarket on foot, while others will need another means of transportation. A limited selection of restaurants and coffee shops is available as well. Concerning education, parents and their children will welcome that no matter where their home is situated in West Humber, primary schools are nearby. However, it can be challenging to reach high schools on foot. Families benefit from public and private high schools.

Character

There is a vast selection of green spaces in West Humber. More specifically, green spaces, like Disco Yard and North Mimico Valley Park, are very well-located and there are around 30 of them nearby for residents to relax in, making it very easy to get to them. This area is relatively quiet, thanks to the presence of few people out and about on the streets, although there can be more noise for those who are around the railway line, Highway 427 or Highway 409.
