The neighbourhood of Northeast is part of the city of Mississauga, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Northeast is very car friendly. It is a short drive to the nearest highway, such as Highway 410, from any home in this neighbourhood, and parking is easy. Travelling by public transit is also convenient in Northeast. More precisely, commuters profit from plenty of rapid transit stations on the 109 | Meadowvale Express. There is the Malton with access to the GT | Kitchener. The neighbourhood is served by about 30 bus lines, and it is very convenient to get to a nearby bus stop from most residences. Cycling is difficult in Northeast as the bicycling network is rather limited, and the terrain is not especially flat. Nevertheless, some bike-friendly pockets exist. It is also difficult for pedestrians to navigate this part of the city because running common errands is sometimes difficult.

Services

Some home buyers in Northeast may have the option to purchase groceries on foot in one of approximately 20 stores, while others will have to use a vehicle. A small number of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well. As far as education is concerned, high schools and primary schools are not particularly numerous in Northeast, and thus tend to be a rather long walk away. Moreover, parents may find it challenging for their children to access daycares as a pedestrian.

Homeowners occupy around two thirds of the units in Northeast while the rest are rented. This part of the city also has a variety of housing sizes; notably, this area is good for those looking for three bedroom homes.
