Pleasant View

Pleasant View is a neighbourhood within Hamilton, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area.

Transportation

This area is very car friendly. Nearby highways, such as Highway 6, are easy to reach from any home in this area, and parking is easy. However, public transit users may experience very few options in this part of Hamilton by reason of the low service level. Pleasant View is not very amenable to cycling as there are very few bike lanes, and cyclists encounter quite a few elevation changes. Walking is also not very convenient for home buyers in Pleasant View as very few daily errands can be run without the use of a car.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Pleasant View. In addition, it can be very difficult to walk to daycares from houses for sale in this neighbourhood. With regards to eating, in all but a very small number of cases, a car is required in Pleasant View to access the nearest supermarket.

Character

Pleasant View is reasonably good for those who enjoy a quiet atmosphere, as the streets are usually peaceful - however noise can be problematic close to Highway 6. Green spaces aren't well-distributed, resulting in them being sometimes challenging to access from the majority of locations within this part of Hamilton. Despite that, there are a few parks close by for residents to explore.

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing the overwhelming majority of dwellings in Pleasant View, whereas the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Nearly 95% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and the remainder are rented. Most of the housing growth in this area occurred prior to the 1960s.
