Transportation

Cars are an excellent mode of transportation in Guelph. Accessing a place to park is easy, and the street infrastructure is especially conducive to cars. On the other hand, the public transit service in this neighbourhood is rather poor. Guelph is not very convenient for those who travel by foot because very few daily needs can be met on foot. Even though cycling is more practical in some sectors than others, this neighbourhood is not very amenable to biking as there are few bike lanes, and cyclists encounter quite a few slopes.

Services

Character

Although the neighbourhood does not contain any green spaces, parks are especially well-distributed in nearby neighbourhoods, making it easy to access them from the majority of locations in this neighbourhood. This part of Hamilton is a wonderful area for those who don't mind a bit of noise, as traffic can occasionally be loud during busy hours.

Housing

In Guelph, around 90% of dwellings are single detached homes, and the rest of the dwellings are mainly small apartment buildings. This neighbourhood experienced its biggest construction boom pre-1960, so most of the available housing stock is from this time period. This area is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Roughly 85% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 15% are rented.
