Situated within the Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo metropolitan area, Southview is a neighbourhood in Cambridge, Ontario.

Transportation

Southview is quite car friendly. It is convenient to park. In contrast, travelling by public transit is challenging in Southview. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and the nearest bus stop is usually very close. Southview is not especially bike-friendly as this area is home to a sometimes poor cycling infrastructure, and the topography is not particularly flat. A majority of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are also not very suitable for those who travel by foot because few common errands can be run without having to use a car.

Services

It is a short walk to reach schools and daycares from most properties for sale in this part of the city. Along with public schools, there are private primary and high schools. Regarding food, it is very rarely possible for home buyers in Southview to do groceries by walking. A small number of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well.

Character

People who prefer a calm environment will enjoy Southview. Public green spaces, including Churchill Park, are very well-distributed and there are a few of them close by for residents to check out, making them easy to reach. This part of Cambridge is also very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.
