The neighbourhood of City Core is part of the city of Cambridge, Ontario, which is located in the Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo metropolitan area.

Transportation

City Core will appeal to house buyers who value being able to walk everywhere since it is walkable; many common errands can be run without needing to get in a vehicle. Commuting by bicycle is also easy in this part of Cambridge. Cars are a good mode of transportation in City Core. Coming across a place to park is generally easy. In contrast, commuting by transit can be sometimes challenging in City Core by reason of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, there are about 10 bus lines, and it is very easy to find a nearby bus stop from most houses.

Services

In this part of Cambridge, families will generally be able to get to schools and daycares as pedestrians. Residents have the choice between public and private primary schools. Concerning eating, accessing the closest grocery store as pedestrians is practical for some, but not all, home buyers in City Core. That being said, a coffee shop is often just around the corner, for instance on Main Street, and a limited selection of restaurants is available in City Core as well.

Finally, public green spaces, including Dickson Park, are especially well-distributed and there are a few of them nearby for residents to relax in, which results in them being easy to get to from the majority of locations within City Core.

Roughly 40% of buildings are small apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in this neighbourhood, whereas the rest are mainly large apartment buildings and single detached homes. About 40% of properties in this area were built pre-1960, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 2000s. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of two bedroom and one bedroom homes.
