Parkway Belt

Parkway Belt is a neighbourhood within Brampton, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is usually the preferred method to move around in Parkway Belt. Most properties for sale are a very short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 407, and the street network is especially well suited for driving. This neighbourhood is also home to reasonably good transit service owing to about 10 nearby bus lines. This part of Brampton is not very conducive to pedestrians since few daily errands can be run without a vehicle. Although biking is better in certain pockets than others, cycling is almost impossible in Parkway Belt since the bicycling infrastructure is rather poor, and there is a significant amount of elevation changes.

Services

Daycares and primary schools are convenient to get to without a vehicle from most houses for sale in this part of the city. However, there are no high schools in this area. With regards to eating, a grocery store is usually reachable within a reasonably short stroll from most houses for sale in this neighbourhood.

Character

Parkway Belt offers a vast selection of green spaces to enjoy. It is easy to reach green spaces from most locations within the neighbourhood, since there are a few of them close by for residents to explore and a large number of properties have a park around the corner. Noise can sometimes be an issue in this area, as traffic during rush hour can occasionally be bothersome.

Housing

Roughly one third of dwellings are single detached homes, making it easy to find detached homes in Parkway Belt, while large apartment buildings and duplexes are also present in the housing stock. Around one third of properties in this part of Brampton were constructed between 1980 and 1990, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1990s and the 2000s.
