The neighbourhood of Riverview is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are a great transportation option in this part of Halifax. It is especially convenient to find a parking spot, and most houses for sale are a short drive from the closest highway. However, travelling by transit can be difficult in this part of Halifax due to the low service level. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and the closest bus stop is generally very close by. This part of the municipality is not especially conducive to people who prefer to travel as pedestrians because most daily needs are at times difficult to meet without a car. The bike is a rather poor mode of transportation in Riverview since there are few bike lanes, and there are a fair number of slopes.

Services

Families will appreciate the proximity to daycares and high schools, which are within walking distance from most properties for sale in Riverview. However, there are no primary schools in this part of the municipality.
