Part of the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Riverview is a neighbourhood within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Cars are a great transportation option in this neighbourhood. It is very convenient to park, and nearby highways are very easy to access from anywhere in Riverview. On the other hand, the public transit access in this area is not very convenient. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are ordinarily around the corner. Cycling is challenging in this part of Halifax because there are a good number of slopes to challenge cyclists, and there are few bike lanes. Riverview is also not especially conducive to pedestrians since few daily errands can be run without a vehicle.

Services

In Riverview, parents and their children will generally be able to get to secondary schools and daycares by walking. In contrast, this neighbourhood does not contain any primary schools. With respect to eating, a supermarket is usually accessible within a reasonably short walk from anywhere in Riverview.

Character

Riverview is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. This area is very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Lastly, public green spaces are easy to reach since there are a few of them nearby for residents to explore.
