North Street

The neighbourhood of North Street can be found in the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

This part of the municipality is very car friendly. Nearby highways are moderately easy to access from any home in this area, and it is very convenient to park. However, travelling by transit can be challenging in North Street by reason of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, homeowners have access to a few bus lines, and it is especially convenient to get to a nearby bus stop from most houses. Walking is not especially practical for property owners in this part of the municipality because few daily needs can be carried out without the use of a car. North Street is also not particularly cycling-friendly since the bicycling network is rather limited, and riding is made strenuous by the often hilly topography.

Services

Schools and daycares are easy to get to without a vehicle from any location in this part of the municipality. With regards to food, it is straightforward to reach the nearest supermarket on foot in this neighbourhood. Additionally, a cafe is generally a reasonably short trip away, and a small selection of restaurants can be found in this area as well.

Character

North Street is a very good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere.
