The community of Lake Loon can be found in the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Lake Loon is a very good part of Halifax for moving around by car. It is very convenient to park. In contrast, this part of the municipality is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily very close by. Walking is not very practical for house buyers in Lake Loon since very few common errands can be run without a car. This part of Halifax is also not particularly bicycling-friendly as there are few bike lanes, and there are a good number of slopes.
