Lake Echo

Located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Lake Echo is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

The favoured transportation option in Lake Echo is very often a car. It is especially convenient to find a parking spot. In contrast, the public transit service in Lake Echo is not very frequent. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the community, and bus stops are generally around the corner. It is very difficult to travel by bicycle in this part of the municipality because there are a fair number of hills for cyclists to brave, and the cycling infrastructure is not very extensive. Walking is also not very convenient for house buyers in Lake Echo as almost no daily errands can be run without the use of a car.

Services

In all cases, a car is required in this area to access the nearest supermarket. A small variety of restaurants is available in Lake Echo. In terms of education, parents and their children will find that wherever their house is located in this part of the municipality, daycares are nearby. On the other hand, there are only a very small number of primary schools in Lake Echo and therefore they can be a very long stroll away. In addition, Lake Echo does not have any high schools.
