East Preston

East Preston is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

The preferred approach to get around in East Preston is usually driving. The majority of real estate listings are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, and it is very easy to park. Walking is not very feasible for residents in East Preston since running common errands is nearly impossible without the use of a vehicle. It is also very hard to travel by bicycle in this community because the cycling infrastructure is quite poor, and the topography is not very flat.

Services

A car is almost always needed in East Preston to access the nearest grocery store. Concerning education, daycares are convenient to reach by foot from any location in this part of the municipality. On the other hand, there are only a few primary schools in East Preston and accordingly they can be a long distance away. Furthermore, East Preston does not have any high schools.

Character

East Preston is a reasonably good community to buy a home in for those who prefer a calm environment.
