Part of the Greater Saint John metropolitan area, McAllister is a neighbourhood within Saint John, New Brunswick.

Transportation

The car is usually the preferred method to move around in McAllister. It is especially convenient to come across a place to park, and nearby highways are moderately easy to drive to from any location in McAllister. On the other hand, this area is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. McAllister is not especially conducive to those who travel as pedestrians because few daily errands can be run without a vehicle. McAllister is also not particularly appropriate for biking as the cycling infrastructure is rather poor, and there are quite a few hills.

Services

Most of the housing growth in this part of Saint John happened between 1960 and 1980. This area is notable for those looking for two bedroom homes.
