Transportation

The car is very often the preferred method of transportation in this area. It is especially convenient to come across a parking spot. This part of the municipality is moderately amenable to cycling. Casa Loma is not very suitable for people who prefer to get around as pedestrians since almost no daily needs can be met without a vehicle.

Regarding food, getting to the closest grocery store by foot is an option for some, but not all, property owners in this neighbourhood.

Character

The character of Casa Loma is exemplified by its slower-paced ambience. This part of the municipality is very quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic. Finally, reaching green spaces, such as Casa Palmero Park, is easy from most locations within the neighbourhood since there are a few of them nearby for residents to explore.

Housing

The homes in this neighbourhood are quite new, since about 40% of its dwellings were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1990s and the 2000s. The large proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of this area is an important part of its character. About 90% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and renters occupy the remainder. This part of the municipality offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
