North Quadra is a neighbourhood within Saanich, British Columbia, which is situated in the Greater Victoria metropolitan area.

Transportation

Moving around by car is especially convenient in North Quadra. Many homes for sale are a short drive from the nearest highway, and it is convenient to access a place to park. On the other hand, getting around by transit can be challenging in North Quadra as a result of the low service level. Nevertheless, homeowners have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses. Travelling by foot in North Quadra is not very common, despite the fact that many day-to-day needs can be met without having to use a vehicle. In contrast, this area will attract physically active people because it is suited for cycling. In particular, there are a fair number of bike lanes.

Services

It is a short walk to access schools and daycares from any location in North Quadra. At the elementary level, there are both public and private schools. When it comes to eating, it is easy to get to the closest grocery store by walking from any home in this neighbourhood. There are also a few restaurants and coffee shops in this area.

Character

The character of North Quadra is exemplified by its slower-paced atmosphere. Green spaces, like Beckwith Park and Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary, are especially well-spread out and there are about 10 of them close by for residents to relax in, which results in them being very easy to get to from numerous locations in this neighbourhood. This area is also very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.

Housing

Single detached homes are the main housing type, representing about one third of dwellings in North Quadra, but small apartment buildings and duplexes are also present in the housing stock. About one third of properties in this area were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This area offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly two thirds of the dwellings in North Quadra while the remainder are rented.
