Part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Westridge is a neighbourhood within Burnaby, British Columbia.

Transportation

Westridge will please property owners that use a diversity of methods of transportation. Getting around by car is easy in this part of Burnaby. Parking is easy. Westridge is also moderately transit friendly. The neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are usually very close by. This area is fairly bicycling-friendly since there are a good number of bike lanes. Walking is not especially feasible for property owners in Westridge since most daily needs are occasionally difficult to carry out without a vehicle.

Services

It is convenient to access the closest supermarket as a pedestrian from most properties for sale in Westridge. Residents can enjoy approximately 10 restaurants and coffee shops as well. Regarding education, parents and their children will value that wherever their house is located in this area, daycares and primary schools are close by. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Westridge.

Character

A highlight of Westridge is its broad selection of green spaces. Accessing parks is very easy from a large number of locations in the neighbourhood since there are a few of them nearby for residents to relax in. Thanks to the presence of few people out and about on the streets, this neighbourhood remains relatively quiet, although there can be higher levels of noise for those who are closer to the railway line.

Housing

In Westridge, around one third of buildings are single detached homes, and the rest of the houses are mainly small apartment buildings and duplexes. This neighbourhood also has a good choice of housing size options; properties range from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Homeowners occupy around 60% of the units in the neighbourhood and renters occupy the remainder.
