Tempe

The neighbourhood of Tempe can be found in the city of City of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

It is convenient to travel by bike in this neighbourhood because this part of City of North Vancouver features good cycling infrastructure. Walking is also reasonably convenient for house buyers in this area; many daily needs can be met without a vehicle, and a variety of businesses are rather close at hand. Residents using public transit may have few options in Tempe as a result of the infrequent service. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and it is very easy to get to a nearby bus stop from most homes. In contrast, driving is a very good mode of transportation in Tempe. It is convenient to find a place to park, and nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are especially easy to reach from anywhere in Tempe.

Services

A general and a specialty grocery store is always only a reasonably short distance away in Tempe. Likewise, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner. In terms of education, in this neighbourhood, families will usually be able to get to daycares and schools without a vehicle.

Character

People who prefer a slower-paced ambience will enjoy Tempe. This area is quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case around Trans-Canada Highway. Lastly, there are a few green spaces close by for residents to discover and they are especially well-located, which makes it very easy to reach them.

Housing

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing the majority of dwellings in Tempe, and the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings and duplexes. Around one third of homes in this area were built between 1980 and 1990, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1960s. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy about 80% of the dwellings in Tempe and 20% are rented.
