The neighbourhood of Marpole can be found in the city of Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

This part of the city allows house buyers to travel using several alternative means of transportation. Walking is quite practical for property owners in Marpole; running daily errands is convenient, and many businesses are reasonably nearby. This area is also a fairly convenient part of Vancouver for cyclists. In particular, the cycling network is quite comprehensive. Thanks to 2 rapid transit stations (Marine Drive Station @ Platform 1 and Marine Drive Station @ Platform 2) with access to the Canada Line, and approximately 10 nearby bus lines, the public transit system in this part of the city is practical. Cars are also a reasonably good transportation option in this neighbourhood as it is typically not too bothersome to come across a parking spot.

Services

Parents and their kids will find that wherever their home is located in this part of the city, daycares and schools are close by. At the primary level, there are both public and private schools. In terms of food, it is frequently practical for home buyers in this area to shop for general and specialty groceries on foot. There are also a limited number of opportunities for those who value nearby restaurants and cafes.

Character

Marpole offers a calm environment and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. Parks, including Oak Park and Winona Park, are very well-spread out and there are approximately 10 of them nearby for residents to discover, which makes it very easy to access them. This area is quiet overall, as there are low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several louder sections, especially around one of the railway lines.

Small apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing roughly 45% of buildings in Marpole, and the rest are mainly large apartment buildings, duplexes, and single detached homes.
