Aldergrove is a neighbourhood within Township of Langley, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

The favoured method to navigate this part of Township of Langley is often driving. It is easy to park. On the other hand, Aldergrove is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and the closest bus stop is generally very close. Bicycling is at times challenging in Aldergrove as there are few bike lanes, and the area is not especially flat. This part of Township of Langley is also not particularly conducive to walking as many day-to-day needs are sometimes challenging to carry out without having to resort to a car.

Services

It is straightforward to reach the nearest supermarket on foot in this part of the municipality. Residents benefit from around 40 restaurants and cafes as well. As far as education is concerned, it is a rather short walk to get to daycares and schools from anywhere in this neighbourhood. Parents have the option of public and private schools at both the primary and high school level.

Character

The character of Aldergrove is exemplified by its relaxed ambience. This part of the municipality is very quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic. Finally, public green spaces, like Aldergrove Community Secondary and Philip Jackman Park, are very well-situated and there are approximately 20 of them nearby for residents to explore, making them easy to reach.

Housing

Around 45% of dwellings are single detached homes, making it easy to find detached homes in Aldergrove, while small apartment buildings and duplexes are also present in the housing stock. Around one third of properties in this neighbourhood were built between 1960 and 1980, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 1990s.
