Situated within the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Thornhill is a neighbourhood within Maple Ridge, British Columbia.

Transportation

This neighbourhood is very car friendly. Accessing a parking spot is generally easy. However, residents using public transit may find very few choices in this part of Maple Ridge by reason of the service's low frequency. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are typically a short walk away. This part of Maple Ridge is not very bicycling-friendly because the cycling infrastructure is not very well-developed, and cyclists are faced with quite a few elevation changes. It is also very difficult for pedestrians to navigate Thornhill because carrying out daily needs is very inconvenient.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of the city. Likewise, there are only a very small number of daycares and accordingly they can be a very long walk away. With respect to food, a car is almost always needed in Thornhill to reach the nearest supermarket.
