Part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Blue Mountain is a neighbourhood within Maple Ridge, British Columbia.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent medium of transportation in Blue Mountain. Coming across a place to park is generally easy. The bicycle is a rather poor method of transportation in Blue Mountain as there are very few bike lanes, and there are a fair number of slopes. This neighbourhood is also not very conducive to those who prefer to travel on foot as almost no common errands can be run without a car.

Services

This part of the city does not have any high schools or primary schools. Regarding food, in all but a very small number of cases, a car is needed to do groceries.

Character

The character of Blue Mountain is exemplified by its relaxed environment. There are a few green spaces nearby for residents to discover, including Kanaka Creek and Bcit Woodlot W007, and they are very well-situated, which makes it easy to access them. The noise levels in this part of Maple Ridge are also very low, as the streets are very tranquil.

Housing

Nearly 95% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and renters make up the remainder. The predominant housing types in this part of the city are single detached homes and row houses. Roughly one third of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1980s, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1990s. This area is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
