The neighbourhood of Whonnock is part of the city of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Whonnock is an extremely good part of Maple Ridge for travelling by car. It is very easy to come across a parking spot. Walking is not very practical for residents in this neighbourhood since running common errands is very inconvenient on foot. The bicycle is a somewhat poor means of transportation in Whonnock since there are quite a few hills, and the bicycling network is not very extensive.

Services

Property owners in this part of the city almost always have to turn to a car to access the nearest supermarket. Regarding education, there are only a very small number of primary schools in Whonnock and thus they can be a very long walk away. In addition, this part of the city does not contain any high schools.

Character

The character of Whonnock is exemplified by its slower-paced ambience. This area is wonderful for those who enjoy quiet surroundings, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic.
