Transportation

The favoured approach to move around in this part of Nanaimo is very often a car. It is a reasonably short drive to the closest highway, such as nanaimo parkway, from any location in this neighbourhood, and it is convenient to park. On the other hand, the public transit network in Five Acres is not very accessible. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. A majority of the houses for sale in this area are located in places that are not particularly convenient for pedestrians as running day-to-day errands is sometimes challenging without a vehicle. In contrast, this neighbourhood is rather cycling-friendly as there are a good number of bike lanes.
