Valley South is a community in the Greater Chilliwack metropolitan area, which is in the province of British Columbia, Canada.

Transportation

Travelling by car is especially convenient in Valley South. It is very easy to access a parking spot. However, this community is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, homeowners have access to a few bus lines. It is difficult for pedestrians to navigate this part of the city since running common errands is challenging.

Services

Getting to the nearest supermarket by walking is feasible for some, but not all, property owners in this part of the city. Residents can enjoy a few restaurants and cafes as well. As far as education is concerned, parents may find it difficult for their schoolchildren to reach high schools and primary schools as pedestrians. Likewise, it can be very hard to get to daycares on foot.

Character

Valley South is fairly good for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as the streets tend to be calm - however some areas can be quite noisy, especially around Trans-Canada Highway or the railway line. Public green spaces aren't well-located, making them very difficult to get to.

Housing

The housing stock of Valley South is composed primarily of single detached homes and townhouses. Roughly half of properties in this community were constructed following the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1990s. This community is primarily composed of three bedroom and two bedroom homes. Around 85% of the properties in the community are occupied by homeowners and 15% are occupied by renters.
