Tempe

The neighbourhood of Tempe is part of the city of City of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Walking is reasonably practical for home buyers in Tempe; most daily needs are easy to carry out without the use of a vehicle, and a fair number of businesses of different types can be found as well. The bicycle is a good method of transportation in this area because the cycling infrastructure is reasonably good. The public transit system in Tempe is not especially practical. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually very close. However, the car is usually the favoured mode of transportation in this area. It is easy to access a place to park, and most real estate listings are a very short drive from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway.

Services

Parents and their kids will appreciate that no matter where their property is located in this part of the city, daycares and schools are nearby. With respect to eating, a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a reasonably short walk away in Tempe.

Character

Tempe offers a relaxed atmosphere and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. The noise levels in this neighbourhood are low, as the streets are generally tranquil - although that is not the case closer to Trans-Canada Highway. Finally, it is very easy to reach green spaces since there are a few of them close by for residents to discover.

Housing

In Tempe, the majority of buildings are single detached homes, and the rest of the properties are mainly small apartment buildings and duplexes. This part of the city is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. About 80% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the rest are rented. Roughly one third of properties in this part of the city were constructed in the 1980s, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1960s.
