Townline

Townline is a neighbourhood within Abbotsford, British Columbia, which is situated in the Abbotsford - Mission metropolitan area.

Transportation

The preferred way to move around in this part of the city is usually a car. Most houses for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and it is convenient to find a place to park. On the other hand, getting around by public transit is difficult in this area. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most homes. Townline is not particularly suitable for walking since running common errands is at times difficult on foot.

Services

A fraction of house buyers in Townline may be able to buy their groceries on foot, while others will have to turn to a vehicle. Residents benefit from around 40 restaurants and cafes as well. Regarding education, parents and their children will appreciate that wherever their home is located in Townline, daycares and schools are nearby.

Character

Townline offers a slower-paced environment and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. There are about 20 parks nearby for residents to visit and they are very well-spread out, making them easy to get to. Most areas in this neighbourhood are quiet, as the streets are usually quite peaceful - although that is not the case closer to Trans-Canada Highway.

Housing

In Townline, most buildings are duplexes, whereas the rest are mainly single detached homes and townhouses. This area experienced its most significant construction boom between 1990 and 2000, so most of the available housing is from this time period. This neighbourhood offers mainly two bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Roughly 70% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and the rest are renters.
