Transportation

The car is usually the preferred method to get around in this neighbourhood. Parking is quite easy. It is very inconvenient for people walking to get around in this neighbourhood since carrying out daily needs is very challenging on foot.

Services

There are only a very small number of primary schools in this neighbourhood and therefore they can be a very long walk away. In addition, this part of Abbotsford does not contain any high schools. Moreover, parents and their schoolchildren may find it very hard to access daycares on foot. As far as food is concerned, house buyers in this neighbourhood almost always have to turn to a vehicle to purchase groceries.

Character

Sumas Prairie is quiet overall, as the streets are generally reasonably peaceful - however some parts can be quite noisy, especially near Trans-Canada Highway or the railway line. It is rather challenging to get to parks since they are sparse. Despite that, there are around 10 green spaces close by for residents to check out.

Housing

The large proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of Sumas Prairie is an important part of its character.
