The neighbourhood of Sumas Prairie is part of the city of Abbotsford, British Columbia, which is located in the Abbotsford - Mission metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent transportation option in this part of the city. It is a reasonably short car ride to the closest highway, such as Sumas Offramp Way, from anywhere in this neighbourhood, and it is especially convenient to access a parking spot. In contrast, the public transit system in this part of the city is not very convenient. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are usually close by. Although a few enjoyable pockets for cycling can be found, Sumas Prairie is not very amenable to bicycling because there are few bike lanes, and the area is not particularly flat. Travelling on foot is also not very convenient for residents in this part of the city as very few daily errands can be run on foot.

Services

There are only a very small number of primary schools in Sumas Prairie and therefore they can be a very long walk away. Likewise, this part of the city does not have any high schools. Moreover, there are only a few daycares and thus they can be a long walk away.
