Transportation

Driving is very often the preferred transportation option in South Poplar. It is a short drive to the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, from any location in this neighbourhood, and it is very convenient to access a place to park. On the other hand, the public transit service in South Poplar is not very frequent. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are usually nearby. This part of Abbotsford is not particularly suited for cycling because there are few bike lanes, and there are a good number of elevation changes to challenge cyclists. There are also relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of South Poplar, despite the fact that meeting day-to-day needs is convenient by walking.

Services

Home buyers in South Poplar almost always need a car to travel to the nearest supermarket. Nevertheless, pharmacies are typically convenient to access on foot and sell some basic food items. A limited number of coffee shops is available as well. Concerning education, it is a reasonably short walk to access both primary and secondary schools from most properties for sale in this part of Abbotsford.
