The neighbourhood of Avalon can be found in the city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, which is situated in the Greater Saskatoon metropolitan area.

Transportation

Avalon is a fairly convenient part of Saskatoon for pedestrians; many day-to-day needs can be carried out without a car, and numerous businesses are moderately close at hand. Avalon will also appeal to physically active people as it is very suitable for cycling. For instance, there are not many slopes to confront cyclists, and there are countless bike lanes. Avalon is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most residences. On the other hand, this area is fairly car friendly. It is a short drive to the nearest highway from anywhere in Avalon, and it is convenient to find a place to park.
