Transportation

This part of the city will please homeowners that appreciate different means of transportation. The public transit network in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve is very good. More specifically, rapid transit stations, such as Préfontaine Station, Pie-IX Station and Joliette Station on the Green Line, are generally close by from the greater part of residences in the neighbourhood. Homeowners have access to about 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. Many of the houses for sale in this neighbourhood are located in areas that are also especially suitable for walking; all day-to-day errands can be run on foot, and a variety of businesses are reasonably nearby. This area will draw physically active home buyers as it is especially suited for biking. More precisely, bike-share stations are rarely more than a short walk away, and Hochelaga-Maisonneuve boasts a fairly good bicycling infrastructure.

Hochelaga-Maisonneuve is fairly good for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue, although there are still several louder sections, especially around one of the railway lines. There is a good amount of greenery in this part of Montréal; getting to public green spaces in the neighbourhood, including Parc Maisonneuve, is very easy, since there are approximately 10 of them nearby for residents to unwind in and many properties for sale have a park nearby. Moreover, residents will find that the majority of streets have reasonably good tree coverage.
