The neighbourhood of Maricourt can be found in the city of Longueuil, Quebec, which is situated in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

Getting around as a pedestrian is feasible for home buyers in this neighbourhood; many day-to-day errands can be run without the use of a car. It is also easy to commute by bicycle in this part of the city because the cycling network is moderately extensive, and there are a limited number of elevation changes. This area is not especially transit friendly. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is linked by approximately 20 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most residences. On the other hand, Maricourt is a very convenient part of Longueuil for driving. Finding a parking spot is easy, and the majority of real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway.

Services

A supermarket is generally reachable within a rather short distance from any home in this area. A limited variety of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well. With respect to education, in Maricourt, families will usually be able to reach primary schools and daycares by walking. On the other hand, there are no high schools in this area.

Character

The character of Maricourt is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. The noise levels in this part of Longueuil are low, as the streets are generally reasonably tranquil - although that is not the case close to the railway line.
