Timberlea is a neighbourhood within Kirkland, Quebec, which is located in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent mode of transportation in Timberlea. It is a short drive to the nearest highway, such as Autoroute Félix-Leclerc, from any home in this part of the city, and it is very easy to park. On the other hand, Timberlea is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, homeowners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. Commuting by bicycle is occasionally difficult in Timberlea because there are few bike lanes. Thankfully, there are a limited number of slopes. A majority of the homes for sale in this part of the city are located in areas that are also not very suitable for those who travel by foot since common amenities such as liquor stores or laundromats can be an extended walk away.

Services

Property owners in this neighbourhood almost always need a car to reach the closest grocery store. As far as education is concerned, this part of the city does not have any high schools or primary schools. Furthermore, it can be very hard to get to daycares as a pedestrian.

The character of Timberlea is exemplified by its relaxed environment. This area is quiet overall, as the streets are usually reasonably tranquil - however noise can be bothersome around Autoroute Félix-Leclerc.
