Transportation

Driving is usually the preferred way to move around in Heritage on the Lake. It is very easy to find a parking spot. However, Heritage on the Lake is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, homeowners are served by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is generally just around the corner. This area is reasonably amenable to bicycling. Many of the houses for sale in this part of Montréal are located in places that are not very suitable for those who travel by foot as running common errands is inconvenient.

Services

Heritage on the Lake does not have any high schools or primary schools. In addition, families may consider it very difficult for their children to reach daycares as a pedestrian. With respect to food, home buyers in Heritage on the Lake almost always have to rely on a vehicle to buy groceries.

Character

Heritage on the Lake is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced ambience. There is not that much greenery in this part of Montréal; more specifically, residents will find that few tree-lined streets are around. However, there are a few parks nearby for residents to explore and they are very well-spread out, making it very easy to access them from most locations within Heritage on the Lake. Most areas in this neighbourhood are very quiet, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.

Roughly 130% of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and the rest are rented. The housing stock of this part of the city is composed primarily of single detached homes and townhouses. Almost all of homes in this neighbourhood were built after the year 2000, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s.
