The neighbourhood of sector V is part of the city of Brossard, Quebec, which is located in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

This part of the city is very car friendly. It is easy to come across a place to park, and many houses for sale are a very short drive from the closest highway, such as Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est. However, this area is not particularly transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are approximately 10 bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are typically nearby. There are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of sector V, even though many daily needs can be met without having to use a car. In contrast, it is convenient to commute by bicycle in this part of Brossard as there are few elevation changes to confront bike riders, and the cycling infrastructure is quite extensive.

Services

Property owners in sector V generally have to turn to a vehicle to travel to the nearest grocery store. There are a limited number of choices for those who appreciate nearby restaurants. In terms of education, it is a short walk to reach primary schools from anywhere in this area. On the other hand, sector V does not have any high schools.

Character

The character of sector V is exemplified by its calm environment. This part of Brossard is fairly good for those who enjoy a quiet atmosphere, as there are low levels of noise from traffic - however some areas can be quite loud, especially closer to Autoroute René-Lévesque or Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est. Finally, greenery is reasonably prominent in this neighbourhood; parks are easy to reach since there are a few of them nearby for residents to visit. Residents will also find that the majority of streets have fairly good tree coverage.

Housing

In sector V, the majority of dwellings are single detached homes, whereas the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings. This part of the city is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. About two thirds of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners whereas renters occupy the remainder. Most of the housing growth in this neighbourhood happened in the 1960s and 1970s.
