Transportation

The favoured mode of transportation in this part of the city is usually driving. It is convenient to park, and many houses for sale are a short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Autoroute du Souvenir. In contrast, Dixie is not an especially pleasant part of Montréal for getting around by public transit. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most homes. It is sometimes difficult for pedestrians to navigate Dixie as common amenities such as banks or liquor stores can be an occasionally long walk away. However, getting around by bicycle is convenient in Dixie.

Services

The closest supermarket in Dixie is usually only a short walk away. There are also a limited number of opportunities for those who appreciate restaurants within walking distance. Concerning education, schools and daycares are very easy to get to on foot from most properties for sale in Dixie.

Character

Dixie offers a slower-paced environment and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors.
