The neighbourhood of sector L can be found in the city of Brossard, Quebec, which is located in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent means of transportation in sector L. Most real estate listings are a short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est, and it is very easy to park. In contrast, sector L is not an especially pleasant part of Brossard for moving around by public transit. Nonetheless, house owners can count on Du Quartier with access to the Gare Centrale - Brossard. There are approximately 10 bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most homes. Bicycling is at times difficult in sector L. Nevertheless, there are few slopes to confront cyclists, a few pleasant pockets for cycling exist, and the cycling infrastructure is extensive. Walking is also not especially practical for residents in this neighbourhood since running daily errands is occasionally difficult without a vehicle.

Services

Property owners in this neighbourhood will appreciate that a grocery store is always only an extended walk away. There are also a limited number of opportunities for those who care about restaurants and cafes within a short distance. When it comes to education, families will appreciate that no matter where their house is located in this part of the city, daycares are nearby. However, there are only a few primary schools in sector L and therefore they can be a rather long stroll away. Likewise, this neighbourhood does not have any high schools.

Character

The character of sector L is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. The greenery in this area is not prominent; however, there are about 10 parks close by for residents to discover and they are very well-distributed, making them easy to reach. This part of Brossard is also very quiet, as the streets are usually very tranquil - however noise can be problematic around the railway line, Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est or Autoroute de l'Acier.

Housing

Over half of the housing stock of sector L consists of single detached homes and small apartment buildings, while the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings and townhouses. This area offers mainly four or more bedroom and two bedroom homes. Around three quarters of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and the remainder are rented. The homes in this area are very new, since roughly 95% of its dwellings were constructed following the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed 1960.
