University

Part of the Greater Windsor metropolitan area, University is a neighbourhood within Windsor, Ontario.

Transportation

University is a fairly pleasant part of Windsor for pedestrians; carrying out day-to-day needs is convenient by walking. This part of the city will also attract physically active house buyers because it is suited for biking. For instance, riding is made easier by the generally flat terrain, and the cycling infrastructure is reasonably well-developed. University is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and the nearest bus stop is usually just around the corner. However, driving is usually the preferred method to navigate this part of the city. Most homes for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, and it is convenient to park.

Services

Families will value that no matter where their house is situated in University, both primary and secondary schools are close by. Apart from public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools. In contrast, parents may consider it difficult for their kids to reach daycares as a pedestrian. Concerning food, it is usually feasible for home buyers in this part of Windsor to buy groceries by walking. Furthermore, University is a good place in which to eat out, for example on Wyandotte Street, and a limited selection of cafes is available as well.

The character of University is exemplified by its slower-paced ambience. The noise levels in this neighbourhood are low, as the streets are usually reasonably tranquil.
