University

University is a neighbourhood within Windsor, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Windsor metropolitan area.

Transportation

University is quite convenient for walking; many day-to-day errands can be run without the use of a vehicle. Active home buyers will also appreciate the reasonably cycling-friendly nature of this part of the city. For instance, the cycling infrastructure is fairly good, and it is a flat ride to most destinations. The preferred approach to move around in University is very often driving. Most real estate listings are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, and parking is quite easy. On the other hand, the public transit system in this area is fairly poor. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and most residences are very close to a bus stop.

Services

Parents and their kids will welcome that no matter where their house is located in this neighbourhood, both primary and secondary schools are close by. Besides public schools, University is home to private schools at both the primary and high school level. However, daycares are not especially abundant and consequently may require a long walk to get to. With respect to food, the nearest supermarket in University is usually only a short walk away. Moreover, those who like to eat in restaurants will have a fair number of choices, for instance along Wyandotte Street, and property owners benefit from a few cafes as well.

Character

University is a good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. This area is quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.
