Remington Park

The neighbourhood of Remington Park can be found in the city of Windsor, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Windsor metropolitan area.

Transportation

Remington Park will attract active house buyers because it is conducive to walking; running common errands is easy, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Cycling is also easy in Remington Park since the cycling network is comprehensive, and the terrain is quite flat. This neighbourhood is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. On the other hand, the best mode of transportation in this part of the city is usually a car. It is straightforward to come across a place to park, and the majority of properties for sale are a short drive from the nearest highway, such as E C Row Expressway.

Services

Some, but not all, property owners in this part of the city will reside within walking distance of the nearest supermarket. Residents benefit from about 20 restaurants and coffee shops as well. In terms of education, parents and their schoolchildren will find that no matter where their house is located in this part of the city, primary schools and daycares are close by. On the other hand, Remington Park does not have any high schools. Families have the choice between public and private elementary schools.

Character

Remington Park offers a slower-paced atmosphere and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. Most areas in this part of Windsor are quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case near E C Row Expressway or one of the railway lines. Finally, there are around 10 parks close by for residents to unwind in, such as Grand Marais Drain Trail and Remington Booster, and they are especially well-distributed, making it easy to get to them.

Housing

The large proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of Remington Park is an important part of its character. This area is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around three quarters of the units in Remington Park and one quarter are rented. Roughly 40% of homes in this area were built before the 1960s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s.
