This part of Toronto is transit friendly. More specifically, there is the Etobicoke North on the Kitchener. In contrast, parents and their schoolchildren may find it challenging to reach high schools as a pedestrian. Residents are served by public and private high schools. Regarding eating, some home buyers in this part of the city may be able to buy groceries by walking, while others will have to turn to a vehicle. Residents can enjoy over 50 restaurants and coffee shops as well.

One of the highlights of West Humber is its wide selection of green spaces. To be more precise, public green spaces, like North Mimico Valley Park and Disco Yard, are very well-distributed and there are approximately 30 of them nearby for residents to discover, which makes them very easy to access. However, few tree-lined streets are prominent. Finally, this part of the city can be relatively noisy, as traffic can occasionally be loud during busier hours of the day.

Nearly 165% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while renters make up the remainder. The predominant housing types in this neighbourhood are single detached homes and row houses. The majority of properties in this part of Toronto were built before the 1960s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s. This neighbourhood has a good selection of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
